Richard Ormandy

Richard Ormandy has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles within the aerospace industry. Richard started their career at BAE Systems as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer and spent over a decade in this position. Richard then joined Airbus, where they held multiple roles, including Industrial Strategy, HO Manufacturing Engineering Governance and Industrial, HO A380 Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Manager, Manufacturing Engineering Manager, Satellite AIT Project Manager, HO Performance and Improvement - Stevenage, and Lead Manufacturing Engineer. Most recently, Richard worked at Leonardo as the Vice President of Operations before becoming the Director of Operations at Evolito Ltd in 2022.

Richard Ormandy began their education in 2003 at BAE Systems College, where they pursued a degree in Manufacturing Engineering. Richard completed their HNC program in this field in 2005. Following that, in 2005-2006, they studied Aeronautical Engineering at BAE Systems College, earning an HND degree. Later on, from 2012 to 2016, Richard attended the University of Hertfordshire, graduating with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Aerospace Technology with Management. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained additional certifications, including being a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and being certified as a Scrum Master by the Scrum Alliance.
