Sandip Koley, PhD, is a Senior Scientist at Evotec since August 2021, specializing in cellular senescence and biomarker discovery. Prior to this role, Sandip served as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the Medical Research Council from September 2018 to August 2021, focusing on organelle proteomics. Sandip's experience also includes a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the Weizmann Institute of Science from April 2014 to September 2018, where research centered on mRNA local translation in regenerative axons in the peripheral nervous system of mammals. Sandip completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry at the Indian Institute of Chemical Biology between January 2007 and December 2014, investigating mitochondrial tRNA import. Academic achievements include a Master’s degree in Zoology with a specialization in molecular and human genetics from Banaras Hindu University and a Bachelor's degree in Zoology (Hons.) from The University of Burdwan.
