Opher Doron has extensive work experience spanning several industries and roles. Opher served as the Chief Executive Officer at EVR Motors Ltd. from November 2019 onwards, where they spearheaded the development of a unique motor topology that enabled smaller, lighter, and cost-effective motors. Prior to that, they worked at IAI - Israel Aerospace Industries for eight years, starting in September 2011. During this time, they held the position of VP, General Manager Space Division, overseeing the design, construction, launch, and operation of observation and communication satellites. Opher also led the team responsible for the development of SpaceIl's lunar lander and contributed to Israel's mission to the moon. In addition, Opher Doron successfully revamped the satellite lineup, implemented improvements in operating and QA processes, and expanded the customer base. Before joining IAI, Opher worked for TSG IT Advanced Systems Ltd. as the Tactical Systems Division Manager from July 2008 to July 2011. Opher also held the role of Director of Marketing at IAI \ MBT Missiles from January 2003 to June 2008. Opher Doron started their career in the Israeli Navy in October 1979, where they served as a Rear Admiral and commanded various naval vessels, including missile boats and a corvette squadron. Opher led operational requirements teams and specialized in weapon systems and surface ships. Opher Doron retired from the navy in December 2002 but continues to serve in reserve duty.
Opher Doron obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Haifa, which they attended from 1990 to 1993. Opher then pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration from the same university, completing it from 2002 to 2004. In 1980 and 1981, Opher attended the Israeli Naval Academy. Later, in 2010, they enrolled in the NESS Global Leadership Program at INSEAD.
