Mark van Bavel

Mark van Bavel has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Mark currently works as a System Test Engineer at EVS Broadcast Equipment since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Freelance Recording & Mixing Engineer and (In-ear) Monitor Engineer for Tropical Electroband This Is LOVSKI, collaborating with Mohr Music Eindhoven. During this freelance period, they also served as a Front of House Engineer for various clients from June 2017 to November 2020.

In addition to their freelance work, Mark had experience as an AV Engineer at DEKOM BV from November 2020 to March 2022. Mark also worked as a Sales Advisor at Hi-Fi Klubben Netherlands BV from June 2017 to May 2019.

Mark's early experience includes working as an In-house Recording and Mixing Engineer at Stichting Kytopia from February 2016 to April 2019. Mark also served as an intern at the same recording studio from February 2015 to February 2016.

Furthermore, Mark has a background in music as the lead vocalist and guitarist for the Alternative Rock band Shoulders of Giants. Mark held this role from December 2012 to January 2019.

Mark van Bavel completed their Bachelor of Music degree in Guitar, Sound & Music Technology from Rockacademie, Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Tilburg. Mark attended this school from 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, they pursued their HAVO degree from Theresialyceum from 2005 to 2010, with a focus on the fields of Biology and Technology. In addition to their formal education, Mark has obtained several certifications, including CS50's Introduction to Computer Science from CS50 in September 2020, KARA System and System Fundamentals certifications from L-Acoustics in December 2019, a Certificaat BHV from Operam Opleidingen & HR advies in February 2019, and a Verkooptraining Binnendienst certification from XL10 Training|Opleiding in March 2018.
