Nestor Amaya

SVP Solutions Architecture at EVS Broadcast Equipment

Nestor Amaya has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Nestor is currently working at EVS Broadcast Equipment as the SVP Solutions Architecture, leading a global consultancy team. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President Solutions Architect for The Americas at EVS Broadcast Equipment.

Before joining EVS, Nestor worked at CBC/Radio-Canada as a Software Development Consultant, where they contributed to the architecture and development of tools and processes for a world-class IP infrastructure project.

Nestor also held roles at Ross Video, where they served as the VP Infrastructure and later as the Director of IP Solutions and Infrastructure Product Marketing.

Nestor's career includes serving as the President of Coveloz Technologies Inc., where they focused on conceiving and delivering programmable embedded solutions.

Additionally, they worked at Tundra Semiconductor Corporation as a Principle Engineer and System Architect, and at Ciena as a Manager in Custom Digital Design.

Earlier in their career, Nestor was a part of the IC Development team at Catena Networks and worked as an ASIC Designer at Cadence Design Systems and Nortel.

Nestor Amaya attended Loyola High School from 1987 to 1991, where they completed their high school education. Nestor then pursued their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Honours Electrical from McGill University, studying from 1993 to 1997.
