Alyssa (Warth) Marafino

Alyssa (Warth) Marafino has a strong background in research and data analysis, with experience in the fields of neuroscience and cognitive treatment. Alyssa began their career as a Research Assistant at the Western Psychiatric Clinic, where they utilized MRI and PET scans for amyloid imaging of Alzheimer patients. Alyssa then moved on to the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior, where they focused on cognitive treatment and analysis of adolescent schizophrenic patients. Alyssa tracked patients' progress, administered cognitive tests, and ensured adequate treatment.

Alyssa continued their research work at the Brain Research Institute, where they were a Research Assistant in Dr. Mayumi Prins' lab. Here, they conducted experiments on adolescent traumatic brain injuries, with a focus on athletic injuries. Alyssa gained experience in protein assays, enzyme assays, Western blot, and oxygraph analysis.

In their career progression, Alyssa transitioned to roles in growth marketing and acquisition. Alyssa worked as the Head of Growth and Acquisition at TruBrain, a functional food and beverage brand focused on improving mental performance. Alyssa used neurotechnology to measure brainwave patterns and understand factors affecting performance. Additionally, they served as a Data Analyst, where they utilized company data to create revenue and inventory forecast trends and implemented new strategies to improve revenue and retention.

Alyssa then joined More Labs as the Head of Acquisition, where they applied customer feedback, lab testing, and next-generation science to create innovative products. Alyssa contributed to solving problems with upgraded solutions.

Most recently, Alyssa has taken on roles at Evvy and as a Growth Marketing & Strategy Advisor. Alyssa currently holds the position of Head of Growth at Evvy, where they are responsible for driving growth initiatives.

Alyssa (Warth) Marafino attended North Allegheny High School and obtained a High School degree. Alyssa then enrolled at UCLA, where they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Neuroscience. In addition to their undergraduate studies, Alyssa also attended the University of California, Davis, where they obtained a Winemaking Certificate.
