Ali Ridha al-Roomi

Ali Ridha Al-Roomi serves as an Assistant Professor at Bahrain Polytechnic since September 2023 and is a Senior Electrical Engineer at the Electricity and Water Authority, Bahrain, since December 2022. With significant expertise in energy and demand forecasting, load dispatch, unit commitment, and contingency analysis, Ali has previously worked as a Lecturer at the University of Bahrain from January 2022 to June 2023, focusing on process instrumentation and control engineering. Ali's professional experience includes roles as a Power C&I Maintenance Engineer at both Bahrain Electricity & Water Authority and Aluminium Bahrain, along with positions at Yokogawa Middle East and Moore Control & Engineering. Academically, Ali holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Dalhousie University and advanced degrees from the University of Bahrain, including a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Process Instrumentation and Control.
