James Kay has a diverse work experience. James currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of eWater Services, a company that provides sustainable water solutions across Africa. Prior to this, they were a Director at JHRK Consulting Ltd. From 2018 to 2020, they worked as a Principal (Director) for the World Food Programme, where they designed and delivered programmes that benefited millions of smallholder farmers across Ethiopia. From 2012 to 2018, they were a Principal Consultant at Newton Europe, where they led large-scale transformation programmes with proven savings of over £20m. From 2012 to 2018, they also worked as a Private Tutor, teaching children of all ages in Switzerland, South Africa, and the U.K.
James Kay attended Uppingham School from 2002 to 2007, where they obtained A-Levels in Maths (A), Further Maths (A), Physics (A), and Spanish (A). James then pursued a Masters in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford from 2007 to 2011, with a focus in General Engineering.
