Mark Ulmer

Mark Ulmer, CISSP, has a strong background in information security and has worked in various roles in the industry. Mark is currently a Principal Professional Services Engineer at Exabeam, where they contribute to community knowledge base articles and webinar sessions. Prior to this, they worked at Micro Focus as a Solutions Architect, specializing in SIEM and log management. Mark also served as an ArcSight Technology Consultant at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. In addition, Mark has experience at E*TRADE Financial Corporation, TIAA-CREF, Apollo Group Inc., and USAA, where they held positions in security engineering, information security, and systems analysis. Throughout their career, Mark has demonstrated expertise in areas such as ArcSight ESM, system integration, and workshop facilitation.

Mark Ulmer, CISSP, obtained a BBA in Information Systems from The University of Texas at San Antonio from 1987 to 1994. Mark has also received additional certifications including Exabeam Accredited Enterprise Deployment Engineer and Exabeam Accredited Core Deployment Engineer from Exabeam in 2021, HP Technical Certified II - ArcSight Security Administrator from HP Enterprise Security in 2013, nGenius® Certified Analyst (nCA) from NetScout Systems in July 2011, CISSP® - Certified Information Systems Security Professional from (ISC)2 in 2010, GCIH - GIAC Certified Incident Handler from the SANS Institute in June 2010, and SCJP - Sun Certified Java Programmer from Sun Microsystems in October 2002.
