Maria Urso

Maria Urso, PhD, currently serves as the Director of Medical Communications at Exact Sciences and has held several senior positions in medical affairs since January 2020. In addition to a role as a professional speaker for O2X Human Performance, Maria's previous experience includes leadership roles at BTG, Smith & Nephew Biotherapeutics, and Arteriocyte, where responsibilities encompassed KOL management, publication strategy, clinical research, and medical education. Maria has also contributed significantly to military research as a Research Scientist with the U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine and served in active duty as a Major in the United States Army. Educational credentials include a PhD in Muscle Physiology and Biochemistry from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Master’s degree from the University of Rhode Island.
