Terri Eaton

Terri Eaton is a seasoned professional in regulatory administration and compliance, currently serving as the Director of Regulatory Administration and Compliance at Xcel Energy since 2005. In this role, Terri manages regulatory and compliance issues related to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC). Prior to this position, Terri held multiple roles in federal regulatory affairs at Xcel Energy and acted as a liaison with the Southwest Power Pool during the implementation of the Energy Imbalance Market. Terri's career also includes a managerial role in governmental affairs at Green Mountain Energy Company, representing the company before the Texas Public Utility Commission (PUC) and state legislature, and serving as a staff attorney at the Public Utility Commission of Texas, where significant involvement included the deregulation of the electric market. Terri holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from The University of Texas School of Law and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
