Erik Sorensen

Erik Sorensen is a seasoned engineering manager with extensive experience in optical and systems engineering, currently serving as a Sr Engineering Manager in R&D at Excelitas Technologies Corp. since May 2012. In this role, Erik leads a diverse team of functional managers and engineers, overseeing a range of projects in high power illumination, with responsibilities that include implementing best practices for product transfers and managing teams in optical and mechanical engineering. Prior to Excelitas, Erik held positions at Lumen Dynamics and L-3 Communications, focusing on optical system design and competitive analysis. Education includes a B.Eng in Engineering Physics and Society from McMaster University, completed in 2010.
