Luz Angeles

Luz Angeles has over 10 years of experience in the technology, security, and civic life sectors. Luz began their career in 2011 as a Clerical Assistant & Shipping Administrator at The University of Texas at Austin. In 2013, they were a Legislative Research Intern at Vote Smart; Annette Strauss Institute for Civic Life. In 2014, they joined Humana Pharmacy Rx as a Pharmaceutical Sales & Education Specialist. In 2015, they began working at SHI International Corp. as a Security Solutions Engineer, moving up to Security Solutions Manager- Engineering. During their time at SHI International Corp., they created and implemented a successful mentorship program and a 30/60/90 day onboarding program for new hires. In 2021, they became a Master Mentor and Scholarship Recipient for Leader Within, as well as an RLF Member at the Executive Women's Forum on Information Security, Risk Management & Privacy. In 2022, they joined Women In CyberSecurity (WiCyS) Austin as a Board Member and Secretary.

Luz Angeles graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in International Relations and Global Studies. In 2013, they also attended Osaka Gakuin University for CET Intensive Language and Cultural Studies in Japanese Studies, as well as freeCodeCamp for Web Developer & Language Skills.
