Michael Krage has a diverse range of work experience in graphic design. Michael started their career at Krage Design, where they focused on delivering clear and impactful graphic designs in various formats. Michael then transitioned to Exeter College, where they served as the course leader for the Foundation degree in Graphic Communication and also taught on the art and design foundation diploma course. After that, they worked as an Associate Lecturer at Somerset College, collaborating with students on the graphic communication course and organizing events like the 'Work in Progress' final year show and the design symposium. Additionally, they worked as an Associate Lecturer at Plymouth University, providing support to final year Graphic communication degree students and guiding them with their dissertations and studio projects. In the earlier years of their career, Michael worked for The Times as a Graphic Designer and Design Editor, working on the newspaper's property section, cover designs for the T2 section, and creating cover designs for Times Focus Reports in collaboration with commercial clients. Before that, they served as an in-house art director/designer at Demon Records, responsible for designing and producing CD artwork, adverts, catalogues, and corporate identity materials. Noteworthy designs during this time include album sleeves for Elvis Costello.
Michael Krage attended Somerset College of Arts and Technology from 1980 to 1983, where they obtained a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Graphic Design.
