Chief Purpose Officer at EXO Travel

Alexandra Michat has extensive experience in the field of sustainable tourism and environmental management. From 2014 to present, they have worked at EXO Travel, first as a Sustainability Coordinator and then as the Director of Sustainability and EXO Foundation. In these roles, they were responsible for managing the company's sustainability efforts, implementing the Travelife certification, and creating core policies. Alexandra also worked on project planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.

In addition to their work at EXO Travel, Alexandra has held various other positions in the tourism and sustainability sector. Alexandra worked as a Tourism Destination Resilience Expert at the Pacific Asia Travel Association in 2021-2022 and as a Value Chain Analysis Consultant at SWITCH-Asia in 2020-2021. Alexandra was also a Co-Founder of IMPACT for Sustainable Tourism Vietnam from 2017 to 2020, where they organized sustainability events and created collective projects to promote sustainable tourism in Vietnam.

Prior to their work in the tourism industry, Alexandra held positions at PRX Vietnam and Ville de Lille, where they worked on communication and program management in areas such as sustainable development, cooperation projects, and social enterprises. Alexandra also has experience in microfinance, having worked as a Junior Officer at Horizons Partages.

Alexandra's passion for sustainability and their expertise in the field make their a valuable asset to any organization seeking to incorporate sustainable practices into their operations.

Alexandra Michat completed their education with a Research Masters in Public Law, specializing in Economic cooperation and Foreign Affairs from Université Jean Moulin (Lyon III) in 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Development, Cooperation and International Relations from the University of Lille 1 Sciences and Technology between 2008 and 2010. Alexandra also holds a Master's degree in Development Economics and International Development from Ecole 3A - L'école internationale du management responsable, which they completed from 2004 to 2008. In addition to their academic qualifications, Alexandra has obtained certifications in various fields such as digital learning, climate leadership, sustainability management, and child protection.
