George Stanga

George Stanga has a strong work experience in the field of electrical engineering, with a focus on the cruise industry. George is currently serving as the Chief Electrical Engineer at Explora Journeys since July 2022. Prior to that, they held the same position at Windstar Cruises from November 2020 to January 2023.

Before their roles as Chief Electrical Engineer, George worked for Royal Caribbean International, where they held the position of Electrical Engineer from December 2013 to November 2020. George also worked as an Electrical Engineer at Hapaq Lloyd Expedition Cruises from December 2011 to September 2013.

Prior to their career in the cruise industry, George gained experience as an Electrical Engineer at Columbia Shipmanagement from March 2011 to August 2011, and at Order Shipping from October 2009 to November 2010. George began their professional journey in the field of electrical engineering at Costamare Shipping Co, where they worked as an Electrical Engineer from August 2007 to June 2009.

George Stanga attended Universitatea "Dunărea de Jos" din Galați from 2003 to 2007. George earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering during that time.
