Solver Thorsson has a strong background in engineering and research. Solver started their career as a PhD Candidate in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Michigan in 2012. During their time there, they focused on experimental studies of composites and advanced structural analysis. Solver conducted various types of experimental testing, including material characterization and crash worthiness impact testing.
In 2017, Thorsson joined the University of Washington as a Postdoctoral Researcher. Solver then moved on to Exponent later that year, where they currently hold the position of Senior Managing Engineer.
Solver Thorsson completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering at Háskóli Íslands from 2009 to 2012. Subsequently, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan between 2012 and 2017.
