Shawn Porter

Shawn Porter has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Shawn started their career as a Web Developer (Co-op) at The Latimer Group in 1998. Shawn then worked as a Technical Coordinator at SchoolWorld from 1999 to 2000, where they eventually led a development team. Shawn joined Fusion Productions in 2000 as a Senior Programmer/Analyst, where they designed and developed various web applications and implemented development practices to improve software quality and reduce development time.

In 2007, Shawn transitioned to Cognisight LLC, initially working as the Director of Information Technology, managing and coordinating all technology-related aspects of the business. Shawn later shifted their focus to software development and gained experience in Agile software development as a Systems Engineer.

From 2011 to 2021, Shawn worked at DxID LLC as a Systems Engineer, collaborating with end users and process owners to gather and validate requirements. Shawn served as a subject matter expert for Medicare Advantage risk adjustment and worked in an Agile environment with developers and QA.

In 2021, Shawn moved to DxSelect LLC as a Systems Engineer. Shawn contributed to all aspects of the software development process and gained expertise in cloud-based technologies, such as Amazon Web Services. Shawn led the conversion of a medical analytics system to cloud-based technologies, significantly improving processing speed. Shawn also implemented cloud-based systems to monitor performance and availability and designed a cloud-based build process to accelerate build and deployment.

Currently, Shawn is working as a Software Test Engineer at Expression Networks LLC since 2023.

Shawn Porter attended Rochester Institute of Technology from 1995 to 2000, where they studied Management Information Systems. No information was provided regarding the degree they obtained during this time.
