Jennifer Batson's work experience includes the following:

- Associate Director Project Biology at Exscientia since June 2022.

- Principal Scientist at EXONATE LIMITED from July 2017 to June 2022. Responsibilities included leading the Ophthalmology team, presenting at conferences, and participating in meetings with investors.

- Senior Scientist at EXONATE LIMITED from April 2015 to June 2017. Coordinated the Ophthalmology team, designed and developed assays, and presented at international meetings.

- Research Fellow at The University of Nottingham from October 2013 to April 2015. Primarily focused on alternative splicing and angiogenesis in eye disease and cancer.

- PhD student at the University of Bristol from 2009 to 2013.

- Research Assistant at Boehringer Ingelheim from July 2007 to July 2008. Conducted research on PI3K inhibitors and anti-angiogenesis compounds for cancer treatment.

Jennifer Batson earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biology with Industrial Experience from The University of Manchester in 2009. Jennifer then obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cell Biology from the University of Bristol in 2013, specializing in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology.
