Andrew Laroche

Andrew Laroche is a Senior Applications Scientist at Exum Instruments since June 2023, with prior experience as a Laboratory Materials Analyst II at CoorsTek, Inc. from November 2020 to May 2023. At CoorsTek, Andrew served as the primary analyst for quantitative phase analysis utilizing XRD and confocal Raman microscopy, as well as compositional analysis and surface area measurement. Andrew's earlier experience includes roles as a Graduate Research Assistant and Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Utah, where a program for determining atomic short-range ordering parameters was developed, and contributions to a novel flash ironmaking process were made. Andrew holds a PhD in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Utah (2020) and a BS in Metallurgical Engineering from the same institution (2016).
