Lindelani Matumba

Lindelani Matumba has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Lindelani started their career in 2012 as a Senior Engineer in Metallurgy at Exxaro Resources, where they worked until 2020. During this time, they also took on the role of Acting Chief Engineer in 2019.

In 2015, Matumba joined Exxaro Coal, Grootegeluk Complex as the Black Management Representative in the Transformation forum for a year.

In 2018, they became self-employed and worked as an Independent Researcher.

More recently, in 2020, Matumba took on the position of Senior Solution Architect in Operational Technology at Exxaro Resources. Lindelani is currently acting as the Principal Architect in the Enterprise Infrastructure team.

Throughout their career, Matumba has gained experience in various areas such as IT, Industry 4.0, IoT, Machine Learning/AI, Agile, CRM/SLM/Vendor Management, Mega Project Studies, Business Solution Provisioning, OT Solution Value Realisation, and Advanced Process Control (APC).

Lindelani Matumba's education history includes a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Materials Engineering and Metallurgy from the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria, obtained from 2008 to 2011. In 2017, they pursued a BCom (honours) degree in Financial Modelling at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika. In 2019 to 2020, Lindelani obtained an MSc degree in Mineral Resource Evaluation from the University of the Witwatersrand.

Lindelani also has additional certifications, including "Business Fundamentals: Corporate Strategy" from Udemy, obtained in January 2022. In August 2021, Lindelani completed the "Introduction to the CAN Bus" course from Udemy. In April 2020, they obtained a certification in "Introduction to Python" from DataCamp. In October 2019, they completed the "The Business of Mining" course from edX. Additionally, in September 2019, they obtained a certification in "Beginner to Pro in Excel: Financial Modelling and Valuation" from Udemy.

Lindelani Matumba's educational pursuits also involve ongoing studies towards a Certificate in the Management Development Program from the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria, which they embarked on in 2021. Currently, they have plans to enroll in the Executive Education in Decision Making program at the Yale School of Management in 2023.
