Mankatane Phala

Mankatane Phala is a Technical Support Technician at Exxaro Resources, responsible for developing and maintaining operational and engineering standards while ensuring equipment integrity and compliance with safety regulations. Mankatane maintains Mine Health and Safety Act standards and is involved in the upkeep of P&ID drawings, SLD wiring diagrams, and PLC programs, as well as planning and implementing automation systems. Previous experience includes internships at a coal mining company and at ZEST WEG Group, where exposure to the design and development of PLC, SCADA, and industrial networks was gained. Mankatane holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, a Postgraduate Diploma in Industrial Engineering, and is pursuing a Master of Engineering in Industrial Engineering at the University of the Witwatersrand.
