Richard Barwick MRICS has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Richard started their career as a Quantity Surveyor at Currie & Brown in 1996 and later moved to EC Harris in 1999, working in the same position. After that, they returned to Currie & Brown and served as a Senior Quantity Surveyor from 2000 to 2006.

In 2006, Richard joined Intel Corporation and held various roles within the company. Richard worked as an Estimating Manager in the Asia region, overseeing the commercial aspects of a new greenfield Fab construction and managing a portfolio of projects at Assembly Test facilities for two years. Richard then became a Project Controls Manager, responsible for team management and performance in delivering facility upgrades and construction programs. In this role, they ensured compliance with standard cost management practices and segregation of cost. Richard eventually became a Finance Controller at Intel Corporation, leading a team and managing a multi-billion dollar investment project in China, focusing on equipment investment decisions, management accounting, and reporting.

Since 2018, Richard has been working at Exyte as a Director. Richard initially served as the Director of Commercial Project Management, Northeast Asia, where they led and managed the functions of estimating, cost management, scheduling, and document control for high-tech facility projects. Richard was also responsible for global product ownership in Cost Management, Estimating, and Change Management. Currently, they hold the position of Director of the ATF Global Business Unit, overseeing advanced technology facilities on a global scale.

Richard Barwick MRICS holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in International Management from California State University-Sacramento. Additionally, they have a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying from the University of Central Lancashire. Prior to that, they obtained a BTEC Higher National Certificate in Building Construction Technology from the University of Humberside and a BTEC National Certificate in Building Construction Technology from Hull College of Further Education.
