Michael Bland has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Michael currently holds the position of Chief Financial Officer at Eyemart Express since 2024. Prior to this, they worked at Thrive Pet Healthcare, where they served as Chief Development Officer from 2015 to 2023, leading corporate development initiatives for the company. Before joining Thrive Pet Healthcare, Michael was a Co-Founder at Thrive Affordable Vet Care from 2014 to 2023. Michael also worked as an Investment Director at Fondren Management LP from 2012 to 2020. Earlier in their career, Michael served as a Director at Steel Partners Holdings, where they managed acquisition and investment activity, and as an Associate at Jefferies, focusing on leveraged finance. Michael has also worked at The Walt Disney Company, Salem Partners LLC, and RBC Capital Markets in various roles related to strategic planning, mergers & acquisitions, and corporate finance analysis.

Michael Bland attended the University of Pennsylvania, where they studied Economics until 2001. Michael then went on to complete their MBA in Finance & Strategy at the UCLA Anderson School of Management in 2006. Prior to their university education, they attended William S Hart High School.
