Jay S. Duker

Jay Duker has a wealth of experience in the pharmaceutical and medical field. Jay is currently the Chief Operating Officer at EyePoint Pharmaceuticals, a role they assumed in November 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Strategic Scientific Officer from July 2020 to November 2021. Jay also held the position of Director at EyePoint Pharmaceuticals from September 2016 to July 2020.

In addition, Jay Duker has served as the Chair of the Board at Sesen Bio since February 2015. Jay also holds the title of Emeritus Editor at the International Journal of Retina and Vitreous since October 2014.

Jay Duker's extensive career also includes their role as Chair of Ophthalmology at Tufts University School of Medicine from April 2001 to October 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Director at New England Eye Center from January 1992 to October 2021.

Jay Duker attended Harvard University from 1976 to 1980, where they obtained their Bachelor of Arts (A.B.) degree in Physical Sciences. Jay then went on to Thomas Jefferson University from 1980 to 1984 to pursue their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree. Following their medical education, they completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Hospital, Boston, MA, from 1984 to 1985. Dr. Duker further specialized in Ophthalmology by completing their residency at Wills Eye Hospital, Philadelphia, PA, from 1985 to 1988. Jay then pursued a fellowship in Vitreoretinal Disease and Surgery at the same institution from 1988 to 1990. Furthermore, Jay Duker holds the certification of being a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, awarded by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
