Devank Patel

Devank Patel has a strong background in the field of animation, with experience in various roles and companies. Devank started their career in 2009 as a Lighting Lead for two 3D animated short films during their time at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Devank worked on lighting, texturing, and compositing for these projects.

In 2010, Devank moved on to work as a Lighting & Effects Technical Director at Lightstream Animation Studios. Devank then joined DreamWorks Animation in 2011, where they worked as a Lighting artist until 2015.

In 2015, Devank joined Magic Leap as a Lighting/Compositing Artist and later transitioned into the role of Sr. Mixed Reality Artist in 2016. Devank eventually became the Lead Artist in 2020. Devank worked at Magic Leap until 2020.

Currently, Devank is employed at EYES OUT as the Lead Artist, starting in 2020.

Devank Patel attended the Academy of Art University from 2006 to 2010, where they received a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Animation & VFX - Technical Direction.
