Nuno Varandas has a diverse work experience starting from 2000. Nuno worked as an Intern at Valorsul in 2000 and then took a professional internship at AleniaSIA in 2001. Nuno also worked as a Manager Trainee at aicep Portugal Global during the same year. In 2003, they served as the External Services Manager at Allianz. After that, they joined Bosch and worked in various roles such as Business Developer After Sales, Consulting Analysis, and After Sales Business Developer. From 2006 to 2010, they worked at Robert Bosch as a Business Developer for Asia Pacific and then as an International Project Manager. Nuno later joined IPN in 2011 as a Business Consultant. From 2011 to 2014, they worked at eneida wireless & sensors as a Business Development Manager and in 2012, became the Business Unit Manager. In 2014, they became the International Project Manager at IPN, where they coordinated the SOUL-FI FIWARE Accelerator project. Currently, they are the Head of F6S Innovation Services & Co-Founder at F6S where they are responsible for strategy and new business development to support startups worldwide.
Nuno Varandas has a diverse education history. Nuno graduated from the Academia de Musica de Santa Cecilia between the years 1981 and 1993, though the specific degree obtained is unknown. Nuno then went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from the University of Lisbon, attending from 1996 to 2001. In 2009, Nuno participated in an executive training program at EGP - University of Porto Business School, focusing on Innovation by practicing Creativity. This was followed by additional executive education in Innovation Skills for Technology at Universidade de Coimbra from 2014 onwards.
Furthermore, Nuno Varandas undertook Professional Training in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management from Universidade Católica Portuguesa between 2012 and 2013. Nuno also earned certifications, becoming an Innovation Catalyst through the Global Innovation Management Institute in December 2013. In March 2011, they obtained their PMP (Project Management Professional) certification from the Project Management Institute.
