Software Engineer at Fable

João Martins has been working in software engineering since 2013. João started their career at Reportu as a System Architect & Software Developer. In 2015, they moved to A.Hak Industrial Services B.V. as a Software Engineer. In 2017, they joined Smith Micro Software, Inc. as a Lead Software Engineer and was responsible for the 2D animation software Moho, which was used in multiple Academy Award nominated animation feature films. In 2020, they moved to Didimo as a Senior Software Developer - Computer Graphics, where they worked on using real time apis to produce real time renderers capable of outputing realistic or hyper realistic looking human characters, for both real time and offline rendering. In 2021, they joined Toon Boom Animation as a C++ Software Developer. Currently, they are working at Fable as a Software Engineer and at 4D Pipeline as a Senior 3D Software Engineer.

João Martins completed their secondary education at Externato Delfim Ferreira, studying Ciências e Tecnologias. João then went on to pursue a Licentiate degree in Ciência da Computação at Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto. João is currently attending Universidade do Porto, but has not yet declared a major.
