Alok Mahapatra

Alok Mahapatra has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several years. Alok currently serves as the Chief Strategy & Operations Officer at Family Link Money Transfer since March 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Vice President at Fable Fintech starting from April 2021. Alok was also the Managing Partner at TRANSCEND VENTURES,INC. since August 2012, where they played a vital role in the deployment of digital payment solutions on a global scale.

In their previous roles, Alok Mahapatra served as the Vice President of International Business Development at First Global Data Limited from April 2017 to April 2018. Alok was responsible for identifying new business opportunities and managing strategic partnerships for the company's white-labeled Digital Payments Services. Alok also held positions such as Sr. Vice President at Microfinance International Corp. from July 2011 to July 2012, Director at BookCode, Corp. from December 2006 to April 2012, and Chief Operating Officer at Smart Exchange from January 2008 to June 2011.

Additionally, Alok Mahapatra was the Vice President and Country Head for the North America region at MoneyDart Global Services, Inc. from January 2001 to November 2007, and they worked as a Regional Operations Manager at UAE EXCHANGE CENTRE LLC. from October 1995 to July 1999. Through their varied roles, Alok has gained valuable expertise in digital payment solutions, business development, strategic partnerships, operations, compliance, and finance.

Alok Mahapatra completed a MIT Fintech Certificate Course in Future Commerce from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2016. Prior to that, they earned an MBA in Marketing from Utkal University between 1985 and 1987. Before their MBA, they attended DM School from 1974 to 1979, although the specific degree and field of study are unknown. In terms of additional certifications, Alok obtained a Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in 2020 and also in August 2020. Alok holds a Fundamentals of Project Planning and Management certification from Coursera Course Certificates obtained in 2019, and a Blockchain: Foundations and Use Cases certification from the same institution obtained in 2018.
