Valentina Brković has been working in the design and visual arts industry for over 8 years. Valentina began their career in 2013 as an Intern at NUA Treći Beograd, an NGO and independent art association, where they helped in organizing, producing and documenting exhibitions of local and international visual artists. Valentina also designed the publication for the exhibition Can We Love What We Do Not Know, published by Contemporary Gallery Zrenjanin. In the same year, they also interned at Studio Zimoun, where they assisted in the development and creation of new artworks, related experiments and trial series.
In 2015, Valentina began working at Marker CRM as a Junior Graphic Designer. Valentina then moved to Coba & Associates as a Graphic Designer, where they worked on multiple team and individual projects which required great managing, art directing and design skills. Valentina is proud of the work they did for the Center for the Promotion of Science (Art & Science Exhibition and Project Quantum Music), illustrations for LUMEN publications and Designed.
In 2016, Valentina worked as an Art Director at Appricot, one of Serbia's most successful start-ups, focused on app-design and the creation of tools with the goal to resolve real-life problems. Valentina was also responsible for the complete visual identity of Catena Media's biggest product - AskGamblers, a platform that delivers current and accurate information about the world of online gambling. Additionally, they were responsible for the visual identity of the Serbian branch of the company - Catena Media Serbia.
In 2017, Valentina started working as a Senior Graphic Designer at BitStarz Casino, a multi-award winning Bitcoin casino. Valentina also founded their own freelance practice, Studio VAL, where they are specialized in creating bold brand identities, illustrating for both web and print media and making unique user interfaces.
Valentina currently works as a Design Lead and Brand Identity Designer at Fabulous.
Valentina Brković attended the School for Design from 2006 to 2009, where they obtained a High School degree in Graphic Design. Valentina then attended the Faculty of Applied Arts at the University of Arts from 2009 to 2013, where they obtained a BA in Book Design and Printmaking.
