Jordan Sterling

Jordan Sterling is currently the Head of Engineering at Factor.io. Prior to this, they were with Twilio Inc. from January 2019 to November 2021, where they served as Engineering Manager. In this role, they managed globally distributed messaging teams in 2021 and multiple Twilio IoT teams with reports locally and globally from 2019 to 2021. From March 2016 to January 2019, Sterling served as Tech Lead at Twilio Inc. And from November 2014 to March 2016, they were Sr. Software Engineer at the company.

Before Twilio Inc., Sterling worked as a software engineer at Quartzy, Inc from February 2014 to October 2014. Jordan then joined Box in July 2012 as a Senior Software Engineer and transitioned from leading the QA Team to being a developer on the backend security team in October 2012. Jordan served as QA Lead at Box from February 2012 to September 2012 and as a software engineer from August 2011 to February 2012. Sterling began their professional career as a QA Engineer at Box in September 2010 and interned with UC Santa Barbara Alumni Association as Web Intern from November 2008 to June 2010.

Jordan Sterling completed a BS in Computer Science at the University of California, Santa Barbara - College of Engineering. They also attended UC Santa Barbara.
