Yu-Ying Lin

Yu-Ying (Steven) Lin is a Senior Scientist at Factorial Energy, having joined the company in July 2023. Prior to this role, Yu-Ying completed a PhD at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where a research project focused on All-Solid-State Li/Na batteries led to the discovery of 260 novel conductors and significant advancements in solid electrolyte performance. During the PhD tenure, Yu-Ying authored three first-authored and two co-authored publications and mentored two underrepresented students. Extensive experience includes an internship at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, contributing to printable and scalable perovskite solar cells, and an undergraduate research assistantship at National Tsing Hua University, where work involved developing flexible thermoelectric thick films. Yu-Ying holds a PhD in Materials Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering from National Tsing Hua University.
