Mariana Z.

Mariana Z. is currently a Fellow at New Roots Institute since June 2023. Previously, from December 2022 to May 2023, Mariana served as a Policy Studies Teaching Assistant at Syracuse University's Maxwell School, where responsibilities included grading, mentoring students, and coordinating alumni speakers for an introductory public policy course. From February to August 2022, Mariana interned at the United Nations as a Research and Development Intern, contributing to action strategies, conducting extensive research, forming policy recommendations, and translating reports to enhance communication on critical issues. Mariana is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Policy Studies with a focus on Environment, Sustainability & Policy at Syracuse University, anticipated to graduate in May 2026, and holds a High School Diploma from the American School of Tegucigalpa.
