Madeleine Jacobs

Madeleine Jacobs is an accomplished leader in the scientific community, currently serving as an Advisory Board Member at Factum Global since September 2021. Prior to this role, Madeleine Jacobs was the CEO of Madeleine Jacobs Strategic Science from January 2017 to September 2021, and held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer at the Council of Scientific Society Presidents from March 2015 to December 2016. Madeleine Jacobs' extensive career includes nearly 22 years as the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the American Chemical Society, where also served as Managing Editor and Editor-in-Chief of Chemical & Engineering News magazine. Earlier in their career, Madeleine Jacobs was the Director of the Smithsonian News Service and held various roles at the Smithsonian Institution from February 1979 to August 1993. Madeleine Jacobs earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from The George Washington University and received an honorary Doctor of Science degree from the same institution.
