Yang Chen currently serves as the Director at Medic 2SP since January 2024 and is a NIHR BRC Clinical PhD Fellow at UCL, with research focused on Learning Health Systems and Pragmatic Clinical Trials. Since August 2013, Yang has been a Cardiology Specialty Registrar within the NHS, progressing through various training levels and responsibilities, including serving as Chief Registrar at St Bartholomew's Hospital. Additionally, Yang holds an Associate Founding Fellow position with the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management and is an Advanced Life Support Instructor for the Resuscitation Council UK. Previous experience includes a role as Chief Registrar with the Royal College of Physicians and directorship at Mentor Medical Ltd., which provided educational resources for young doctors. Academic qualifications include a PhD from UCL, a Master’s degree from LSE in Health Economics, and degrees in Medicine from both the University of Oxford and University of Cambridge.
