Hasnain Khurshed has extensive work experience in the communications and media industry. Hasnain is currently the Head of Communication and Corporate Philanthropy at Fair Group BD, a position they have held since June 2021. Prior to that, they were the owner of Grontho Khamar in 2020 and worked as a writer. From 2016 to 2018, Hasnain served as the Executive Director of NEWS 24, and from 2010 to 2016, they held the same role at Channel 24 (Times Media Limited). Hasnain was the Managing Director of MIDORI COMMUNICATIONS PRIVATE LIMITED from 2008 to 2016. Hasnain also worked as the Executive Director at International Television Channel Ltd. (NTV) from 2003 to 2007 and as a Special Correspondent at Ekushey Television Ltd. (ETV) from 1999 to 2002. Hasnain started their career in 1993 as a Senior Reporter at The Daily Janakantha, where they worked until 1999.
Hasnain Khurshed obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Journalism from the University of Dhaka, attending from 1985 to 1988. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 1999, they completed the World Service Television Journalism Course offered by the BBC. In 2005, they participated in the AIBD/ FES In-Country Workshop on Managing Change: Accountable Management for Broadcasting, organized by the Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development. Finally, in 2006, they attended the International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP) offered by the U.S. Department of State.
