Stephen León Kane is an experienced professional with a background in law, business, and technology. Stephen began their career in 2010 as an Attorney at Stephen Kane Law, where they provided legal advice and services to small businesses and startups. In 2013, they became the Sales Director at Lex Machina, an IP litigation data and analytics platform. Stephen then founded homefrys in 2009, a platform that connected people to play games in person.
In 2014, Kane became a Lecturer at General Assembly, and a Fellow (Emeritus) at CodeX, The Stanford Center for Legal Informatics. Stephen also founded FairClaims, an online dispute resolution platform, and Grid110, a 501c3 partnered with the City of LA. In addition, they served as an Advisory Board Member at Marketplace Risk, a trade group for the gig/sharing economy industry, and as an Area Wide Resident Director at the Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council, and a Bixel Exchange Advisor at the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce. As of July 2018, they are the Board Chair Emeritus at Grid110.
Stephen León Kane attended Stanford University from 1996 to 2000, where they earned a B.A. in Economics and Political Science. Stephen then returned to Stanford University in 2006 to earn a Law degree.
