Katie Altomare

Katie Altomare is an accomplished educator with extensive experience in elementary education. Currently serving as an Elementary School Teacher at Mahwah Township Schools since September 2021, Katie has also held various substitute teaching roles in the Montville Township School District and the Fairfield Town School District from January 2020 to June 2021. Additional teaching experience includes serving as a Graduate Student Intern at Joseph M. McVey Elementary School and a Student Teacher at Old State Elementary School and Bunker Hill Elementary School. Katie's foundational experience in education began as a Teachers Aide at Shepard Schools and as a Substitute Teacher at Newark Day Nursery & Children's Center, complemented by an Assistant Teacher role at The Goddard School. Katie holds a Master of Education degree in Autism and Severe Disabilities and has completed education at the University of Delaware.
