In February 1989, Robert joined AT&T Paradyne as a Product Marketing Manager. Robert was instrumental in launching the company's first consumer product and managed all aspects of product requirements, positioning, pricing, channel strategy, collateral, retail packaging, and advertising.

Robert M. obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia in 1987, where they studied from 1984 to 1987.
