Wesley Jarel Morris is an experienced leader in community organizing, spiritual care, and educational development. Currently serving as Associate Director and Director of Programs and Strategy at Southern Vision Alliance since July 2020, as well as Faculty for Grantmakers for Southern Progress since July 2022, Wesley focuses on empowering grassroots movements in the South. As Senior Pastor at Faith Community Church since October 2018 and formerly Director of the Beloved Organizing Training and Healing Institute at Beloved Community Center, Wesley has demonstrated a commitment to community engagement and leadership development. Previous experiences include serving as Chaplain Resident at NYC Health + Hospitals and participating as an Aspen Institute Fellow. Wesley holds a Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary and a Bachelor's degree in History from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
