Mark Chernis

Mark Chernis is an experienced operating partner and advisor in the education technology sector, currently serving at New Markets Venture Partners and Falfurrias Capital Partners, as well as a board member at Straive. With a previous role as Chief Operating Officer at 2U, Mark managed a workforce of over 4,000 employees across various departments. Mark has also held board positions and leadership roles with organizations such as Bridge International Academies, Keypath Education, SPARK Schools, and Pearson Affordable Learning Fund. Mark holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Vassar College and graduated from The Bronx High School of Science.
