Petronilla Sylvester

Petronilla Sylvester is an accomplished academic and legal professional, currently serving as an Adjunct Professor, Legal Studies Program Director, and Assistant Professor at Missouri Western State University since August 2021. In addition, Petronilla holds the position of Director of Legal Diversity Pipeline Programs at Street Law, Inc. since May 2024 and is an active Member of the Saint Joseph Human Rights Commission and Board Member at the Family Guidance Center. Previously, Petronilla worked as an Attorney at Law and Tutor at the Hugh Wooding Law School Legal Aid Clinic from August 2012 to July 2021, and has also taught as an Adjunct Professor at Missouri Western State University from August 2020 to May 2021. Petronilla's educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from The University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus, a Legal Education Certificate from Hugh Wooding Law School, a Master of Laws (LLM) in Experiential Learning and Teaching from Charles University, and a Certificate in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia from Missouri Western State University.
