Michelle Chao-Nguyen

Michelle Chao-Nguyen joined UpTogether (Previously Family Independence Initiative) in 2001 and has maintained oversight of operations since 2002. A native of Oakland, Michelle is actively involved with the Lao Iu Mien Cultural Association (LIMCA), which seeks to preserve the cultural heritage of the Iu Mien community. She was a member of the LIMCA Board of Directors from 2004-2006, voluntarily served as LIMCA Operations Director from 2007-2013, and has been an active participant on the Iu Mien Scholarship Fund Committee since 2000. Michelle holds an MA in Business Administration/Management from California State University, East Bay.
