Maom Michael Preston

Michael Preston, MAOM has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Michael most recently worked as a Workforce Development Specialist at Community Connections, Inc. since August 2020. Prior to that, they served as a Youth Development Director at Family Matters of Greater Washington starting in June 2014. From December 2018 to 2020, they worked as a Business Consultant at Employ Prince George's, Inc.

Before their current roles, Michael was a Senior Recreation Specialist at Parks and Recreation from August 2011 to June 2014. In this position, they developed and implemented various programs for all age groups, created partnerships with local organizations, and managed a team.

Additionally, Michael served as a Marketing Specialist/Intensive In-Home Counselor at Family Impact, Inc. from September 2009 to August 2010. Michael also gained coaching experience as an Assistant basketball coach at Elon University from July 2003 to June 2009, and as the Head PG basketball coach at Hargrave Military Academy from 2001 to 2003.

Michael Preston, MAOM, holds a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Organizational Management which they obtained from Ashford University, where they attended from 2011 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Business Management at the University of Lynchburg, where they studied from 1993 to 1998.
