Kachira Copeland is a seasoned behavioral health professional with extensive experience in coordinating care for children within the child welfare system. Currently serving as a Behavioral Health Coordinator at Family Support Services of North Florida since January 2022, Kachira previously held similar roles at Eckerd Connects from January 2017 to January 2022, where responsibilities included arranging out-of-home placements for children by leveraging knowledge of available resources. Kachira's earlier career includes positions at Wells Fargo as a Bank Teller, at Nike as an Athlete, and as a Student Assistant at Florida International University's Office of Multicultural Programs and Services. Kachira also demonstrated leadership as President of the Collegiate Chapter of the NAACP, focusing on developing future leaders through workshops and training. Kachira holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from Florida International University, completed in 2015.
