Emily Chan

Emily Chan currently serves as a Supervised Parent Monitor at FamilyWise, where parental visits with children are supervised and logged into ClientTrack. Additionally, at the University of Minnesota, Emily holds positions as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Culture Family and Life Lab, contributing to Project UNITE, which examines the effects of ethnic studies courses in collaboration with Minneapolis public schools. Emily led a qualitative study on critical consciousness development and has experience in article annotations, creating infographics, and conducting literature reviews. Previous roles include Personal Care Assistant at Accra, Childcare Provider at the YMCA of the USA, and Teacher Assistant during an international research scholarship in Indonesia. Emily is pursuing a Master of Arts in Counselor Education at the University of Minnesota, building on a dual undergraduate background in Child Development and Chinese Studies.
