Carl Barton

Carl Barton has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Carl currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Fanbase, where they oversee the development and implementation of a fan engagement platform for sports teams. Prior to this, Carl worked as a Consultant at Dufrain, specializing in Data Engineering in Azure and providing technical leadership and solutions for clients. Carl also served as a Technical Consultant at Optima Connect, where they worked on scalable marketing solutions for blue-chip clients. Additionally, Carl has experience as an English teacher at Discovery Summer and Hot English Publishing Ltd, and as a Project Assistant at AEGON UK.

Carl Barton obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from The University of Sheffield, attending from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they attended Birkenhead Sixth Form College from 2006 to 2008. Carl completed their secondary education at Wirral Grammar School for Boys from 2001 to 2006. In addition to their academic qualifications, Carl has obtained several certifications from Microsoft. Carl received the DP-203: Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure certification in March 2021, the 70-761 Querying Data with Transact-SQL certification in December 2019, and the AZ-900 Azure Fundamentals certification in September 2019.
