Rob M.

Rob M. has a diverse work experience spanning different roles in the technology industry. In 1997, they founded and became the CEO of Press Wizards WordPress Development and Hosting, a leading provider of WordPress services. Rob oversaw operations, support, marketing, and server administration, while focusing on WordPress implementations, managed WordPress services, and small business coaching.

In 2017, Rob co-founded 5 Star Plugins, where they served as the Chief Developer. The company developed plugins for the WordPress community, offering both free and premium options. They focused on providing excellent support and even built custom plugins based on user requests.

Later in 2017, Rob took on the role of Chief Developer at WP Site Dr., a WordPress-specific website maintenance, security, performance, and SEO rankings service. Rob was responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of websites and improving their overall performance.

In 2018, Rob co-founded The Cannabiz Agency, where they served as the CTO. The company focused on growing brands through targeted marketing strategies.

In 2011, Rob co-founded Fandom Marketing, a specialty firm offering social media strategy and implementation, community management, and training services for medium to large brands. Rob focused on social media technology, brand strategy, speaking engagements, executive and department training, and community management.

Before entering the technology industry, Rob specialized in social media promotions of events, venues, food, and drink through DowntownRob.com, which they started in 2009.

Rob also held positions at SDX as a board member from 2017 to 2019, Nik Software, Inc. as an IT Systems and eCommerce Manager from 2010 to 2012, and Advanced Equities Financial Corp. as an IT Manager / Sr. Systems Engineer from 2007 to 2008, and Advanced Equities Wealth Management as an IT Operations Manager from 2005 to 2007.

Rob M. attended San Diego State University from 1989 to 1993. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Management Information Systems and Services. In August 2006, they obtained the Microsoft Certified Professional certification from Microsoft.
