Callie Fausey

Callie Fausey has worked for a variety of organizations since 2019. Callie began their career as a Writing Center Tutor at the University of San Francisco, where they worked with a range of diverse students from varying backgrounds and disciplines. In 2020, they became a Media Intern for the California Public Interest Research Group, where they conducted research, coordinated press conferences, wrote and submitted OP-Eds and Letters to the Editor, created social media content and flyers, and petitioned in San Francisco. In 2021, they took on the role of Content Contributor at FANmire and Scene Editor at the San Francisco Foghorn, where they wrote more than 35 articles and created news podcasts. Currently, they are a News Reporter and Arts and Culture Intern at the Santa Barbara Independent, and a Newsroom Intern at KPFA Radio, where they are trained in reporting in the field, audio broadcast/editing, script-writing, and all of the ins and outs of reporting for radio.

Callie Fausey is currently attending the University of San Francisco, where they are pursuing a degree in Communication and Media Studies. Callie began their studies in 2018 and is expected to graduate in 2022.
