Miles Wen

Miles Wen's work experience includes being a Member of the Expert Review Panel at LSCM R&D Centre since 2021. Miles is also a Member of the Electronics / Electrical Appliances Industries Committee at Hong Kong Trade Development Council since 2022. Additionally, they serve as the Chief Executive Officer at Fano Labs since 2015, specializing in artificial intelligence technologies. Miles has also worked as an Adjunct Assistant Professor and Honorary Assistant Professor at The University of Hong Kong since 2016, and as a Mentor at HKU iDendron since 2019. Miles is a Steering Committee Member at HKSTP Startups Alumni Association (SAA) since 2020. Before that, they were a Fulbright Scholar at UC Berkeley from 2014 to 2015, focusing on distributed energy storage management for renewable energy integration in smart grid. Miles started gaining work experience as a Smart Grid Service Intern at NEC in 2012 and as a Research Assistant at The University of Hong Kong in 2010.

Miles Wen holds a Fulbright Scholar degree in EECS from the University of California, Berkeley (2014-2015). Prior to that, they completed their PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at The University of Hong Kong (2011-2015). Miles also earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) in Computer Engineering, with a minor in Finance, from The University of Hong Kong (2008-2011). Before pursuing their bachelor's degree, they studied Information Technology at Zhejiang University (2007-2008). Their secondary education was completed at the High School Attached to Northeast Normal University from 2004 to 2007.
